Is goInsure really completely free?
Yes, the goInsure portal is and remains 100% free for you. Unlike other insurtechs, we do not use a subscription model. As an independent FINMA-registered broker, we are compensated through insurer commissions as is standard in the industry. Your benefit: digital tools and top advisory services at zero cost.
What exactly is the broker mandate?
The broker mandate is a power of attorney that allows us to obtain information from insurers on your behalf (e.g. to load your policies into the app) and represent you officially. This lets us handle the paperwork for you. You always keep full control, and nothing changes without your consent.
Will my existing insurance policies be canceled?
No. Your registration and mandate do not change your existing contracts (premiums, terms, coverage) at all. We only load your data into your portal. Cancellations or switches happen only if we find a better offer and you explicitly instruct us to proceed.
How do I report a claim?
Directly in the app! Click "Report claim", take a photo of the damage, and add a short description. From there, our experts take over. We communicate with the insurer, forward documents, and keep you updated via the in-app messenger.
Can I cancel the mandate again?
Of course. You are not tied to any minimum term. The broker mandate can be canceled at any time without notice. Your insurance policies remain unchanged; only our support service and your app access end.
